                                                                                                   August 23, 2007

Dear Parents and Students,

Once again I am anxiously awaiting the first day of school.  I am excited about our class structure and teacher assignments.  This year we have combined classes in all grades, and will probably have this same structure going forward for the years to come.  This will allow us to keep our school financially sound, and still be able to provide the quality Catholic education to the families in our community, as we have for more than fifty years.  The classroom configuration will be as follows:

 Kindergarten                                   Mrs. Baker

1st/2nd Grade                                    Mrs. Winford

3rd/4th Grade                                    Mrs. O’Brien

5th/6th Grade                                    Ms. Hodack

7th/8th Grade                                    Mrs. Ayers

Mrs. Bammer will be back here three days a week teaching science and computers.  Mr. Koval will be here two days a week, plus the Friday Liturgy.  Mrs. Michalik will be back in the library, and helping out where needed.

School starts with a half-day on September 4th for grades 1-8.  Parents must provide own transportation home at 11:30 am. due to Kearsley having a full day of school.  Kindergarten will have a visitation session for parents and students, from 9:00-11:00 on that day.  We will then have full days for the rest of the week.  On Friday, Sept. 7th, parents must provide own transportation both to school at 8:20 am. and 3:10 pm. due to Kearsley having Friday off.  I am enclosing two pages of general information, so please read them and keep them handy.

I want to welcome all the families attending Holy Rosary Catholic School for the first time, whether they are kindergartners or transferring students from other schools.  Once again I ask all returning eighth grade students to take a moment to reflect on the great responsibility placed on your shoulders to be positive role models for the rest of the school.  I also want to thank all the parents for the sacrifices they make to provide the opportunity for their children to receive an excellent, Catholic education here at Holy Rosary.  I believe our staff is prepared to meet the challenges of the coming year, and I ask that you pray for us as we enter the 2007-08 school year.  I am confident that we can still provide a quality, Catholic education for your children, and I pray for your continued support.  I look forward to serving the members of this parish and all the school families, so if you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to call.

                                                                                                   Your Principal,

                                                                                                    Mr. Bachman
